DOBBY (A601027)
Volunteer Robin Hagy's Notes: Dobby is an incredible pup with a wonderful personality. He has been adopted twice from the shelter, and returned for being people selective. He is known for becoming attached to his owners, and needs slow introductions to strangers. He is great with other dogs, and loved trying to get the attention of the dogs in the partnering play yards. He is an absolute love bug. He enjoyed playing fetch with his ball, and very attentive to me when we were together. Dobby would definitely do best with someone who can work with him on his people skills. He is very lovable and energetic, and enjoys playtime with his furry friends. He knew how to sit, but could benefit from some training. He is a wonderful guy for the right home, and is a shelter favorite. We are all rooting for Dobby. Maybe you can too!
Shelter Notes: Young Shetland Sheepdog mix with object possession behavior. Was adopted and returned due to aggression shown when adopter attempted to remove toys from dog. Adopter also states the dog became more aggressive with the kids at play time and she did not trust the dog. The reported behavior is not that out of line for the breed as it is a herding dog. This dog is friendly and just needs some behavior training and somebody that is experienced with the breed. Will hold for rescue until 11/ 09/13 Dickinson. |

BUNDY (A606068) |
BUNDY (A606068) - UNALTERED MALE, BROWN BEAGLE MIX Shelter Staff Aged Me At: 5 MONTHS
Volunteer Tracey Nicita's Notes: Bundy is your typical playful puppy, he just wants to play and investigate everything. He was really scared initially and didn't seem to know what to expect from me but once he realized it was going to be fun he was happy to hang out and play. He lives hugs, kisses and knows basic commands - he is very good motivated and would sit immediately for a treat. He is a gorgeous boy with lots of potential :) Shelter Notes: 11/7/13 This is Bundy a Tricolor 4 month old Beagle mix that is in need of rescue. He did show food aggression during his evaluation. Bundy is full of energy and a happy go lucky puppy other wise. He will be held through 11/10/13. 482 |

REGGIE A602380 - Location: DISO-116 - UNALTERED MALE, WHITE CHIHUAHUA SH / PUG, 1 YEAR
9/19 This little guy is up for rescue due to a leg injury and understandable defensiveness. He will not allow handling at this time, so his condition is difficult to diagnose. We fell as though he would benefit from being pulled out of the shelter, where he may begin to trust people. At this point, due to injury, we are unable to pair him with other dogs or cats test him. He will be on hold for rescue through 9/25-Arellanes Note: SPAY / NEUTER IS NO COST TO RESCUE GROUPS WHEN GETTING A RESCUE LISTED DOG ALTERED AT THE SHELTER |

JELLY BELLY A601871
|
Volunteer Notes: Jelly Belly is a sweet, silly and lovable girl. We were not able to take her out of her kennel, but did spend time with her inside of it. Jelly Belly is respectful of space and did not try to walk out of the kennel door as we went in and out of it. Jelly Belly showed us she knows how to sit for praise, and she loves loves loves to cuddle and be petted, and she will happily slobber kisses all over your face! She did jump but was easily corrected when we asked her to sit, which she happily did. Jelly Belly is a smart girl and will focus on you when you engage her. She gets excited if you get excited, and she will act calm if you're calm. She's a spunky girl that originally passed the shelter's behavior evaluation as an Orange "Goofball" and due to kennel stress is now in need of rescue. We hope someone can save this sweet girl since she will make a great companion for someone.
Volunteer Denise Galloway Notes: I can assure you Jelly Belly was very well loved. She is in excellent condition and is most likely not doing well in the shelter environment as she was once a family pet. She is very loud, overexcited and a bit obsessed when she sees another dog. She walks very well on leash which tells me she most likely was walked regularly. She is very loving and wants to be right up in your face for kisses. She enjoys the wading pool and seems to be middle of the road energy girl. I think she would do excellent in a home environment and integrated with a family. With some time out of the shelter to relax she will calm down with her over excitability issue with other dogs. We should be able to get some pictures of Jelly Belly this weekend and possibly some video as well....no promises on the video. :) She is treat motivated and enjoys being engaged with the handler. She does not shy away from focus games and has a silly playful side to her as well. She is out of sorts at the shelter and would not do well in a boarding environment, she would definitely need to go to a foster. Shelter Notes: 9/19 Jelly Belly is up for rescue due to some kennel stress that is ultimatley manifesting into barrier issues with other dogs. She is an absolute doll with people. She's funny and wiggly and minds her manners (as much as she can in a shelter.) Unfortunately, she is not a fan of other dogs at this time, but that in no way means that she cannot be introduced slowly. The shelter, by nature, does not allow for this and we feel as though rescue is her best option. Jelly Belly will be held for rescue through 9/21 -Arellanes |
